Black Ops 6: Prepare for a Massive Download
Up to 300GB Required to Run Latest CoD Sequel
Get ready to clear some space on your hard drive, because the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expected to be a massive download. According to the Xbox preorder page, the game will require approximately 309.85GB to run.
This makes Black Ops 6 one of the largest games in the series history, and one of the largest Xbox Series X games to date. The previous installment, Black Ops Cold War, required 250GB of storage space on Xbox Series consoles.
What's Included in the Large File Size?
The large file size is likely due to the game's vast single-player campaign, best-in-class multiplayer experience, and the inclusion of the game's signature Zombies mode. Black Ops 6 is expected to feature a cinematic single-player campaign, 16 new multiplayer maps, and a new Zombies experience.
The game will also feature cross-play and cross-progression between all platforms, so players can play with friends and keep their progress regardless of what platform they're on.
Preorder and Release Date
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled to be released on October 25, 2023. Preorders are now available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Blizzard Battle.net.
