BMW Recalls Over 720,000 Vehicles Over Short Circuit Concern

NHTSA Says

BMW is recalling more than 720,000 vehicles over a water pump connector that may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

The recall affects vehicles that were built within a nine-month period between 2021 and 2022.

BMW says it is not aware of any fires or injuries related to the issue, but it is recalling the vehicles out of an abundance of caution.

Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by mail and asked to bring their vehicles to a dealer for a free repair.
