LAS VEGAS, Nevada (August 23, 2023) - The Las Vegas Aces clinched a berth in the WNBA semifinals with a dominant 93-76 victory over the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night at Michelob Ultra Arena. The Aces, who finished the regular season with the league's best record, were led by A'ja Wilson's 25 points and 11 rebounds. Chelsea Gray added 19 points and 6 assists, while Kelsey Plum chipped in 17 points. The Fever, who were making their first playoff appearance since 2016, were led by Victoria Vivians' 18 points. Breanna Stewart added 16 points and 9 rebounds, while Erica Wheeler had 10 points and 6 assists. The Aces jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, leading by as many as 20 points in the first half. The Fever made a run in the third quarter to cut the lead to 10, but the Aces quickly regained control and pulled away for the win. The Aces will now face the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA semifinals. The Mercury advanced to the semifinals with a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Sky on Monday night. The Aces will host Game 1 of the semifinals on Thursday night at Michelob Ultra Arena.The Aces' victory was their sixth in a row and their 13th in their last 14 games.
The Fever's loss was their third in a row and their fifth in their last six games.
